The SJU men's and women's track teams will face the Atlantic 10's best on Saturday at Mackael Fieldhouse in Kingston, R.I. The 2008 A-10 Indoor Track & Field Championships will be streamed live from the University of Rhode Island, free of charge courtesy of the Atlantic 10 Conference.

The Rhode Island men and Charlotte women's indoor track & field teams will look to defend their respective titles. URI won its title over La Salle by a margin of 28 points, 190-162. Charlotte, who has won both women's crowns since entering the conference in 2005-06, dominated last year's field with 167 points. Richmond was second with 100.

The Hawk men, led by middle distance threat Steve Young and long distance runner Kyle Murray will do their best to top their sixth place showing in 2007. In addition to those two, Brendan Kearney will look to defend his 1,000m title as well. The men's best showing in the A-10 Indoor Championships were two 2nd place finishes in 2001 and 2002.

The Hawk women, who finished ninth in the 2007 Championship and had no individual winners, will try to improve on that showing. Saint Joseph's has never finished better than third, doing so three times (1993, 2004, 2006). The Hawks will be led by senior captain Jordan Teuber who is coming off an impressive three-win feat last week at Bucknell. Joining Teuber will be all-around specialist Nicole McMullen who will provide valuable depth in the jumps and sprints.

The 2008 A-10 Championships will be streamed live through the A-10 Indoor T&F webpage. A link will be provided for the Championships on Saturday. The women's events start at 9:00 a.m. and the men will follow the women's ceremonies around 3:15 p.m.
