The Saint Joseph's men's track team competed at the Princeton New Year's Invitational on Friday evening. Four freshman led the Hawks in four of six events.

Freshman Connor Hubschman finished 9th in the 300m with a time of 36.05, while sophomore Tom DiNatale placed 16th in 36.48. Senior Drew Brandt posted a 22nd place finish in the 300m in 37.03 and finished first for the Hawks in the 60m dash in 7.36 (24th), while DiNatale followed in 7.41 (25th).

In the mile run freshmen Kyle Gorczynski took fourth in 4:29.89 and John Eastman finished ninth in 4:48.65.

Freshman Garrett Barbalinardo led the way for the Hawks in the 600m with an eighth place finish in 1:23.91 while Jared Sabre came in ninth (1:24.16) and Dylan Wenik came in 12th (1:24.16).

In the 1,000 meter freshman Andrew Townsend took third in 2:37.64. Hubschman, Barbalinardo, Sabre and Steven Philbrook helped SJU to an eighth place finish in the 4x400 meter relay.

The Hawks next compete at Delaware on Friday, January 8th.
