Results

BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- The Saint Joseph's men's track team opened their outdoor season with a second place showing at the Lafayette 8 Way Meet hosted by Moravian College on Saturday.  Sophomore Brian Guterl scored wins in the 800m and 1,500m to lead the Hawks.

Guterl won the 800m in a time of 1:55.33.  He backed that up with a 3:55.02 showing in the 1,500m for the victory.

Bobby Staten, Will Rowland, and Kyle Murray joined Guterl in the winners' circle earning wins in the 100m, 3,000m and 3,000m Steeplechase, respectively.

Staten won the 100m in a time of 10.64, Rowland won the 3,000m in a time of 8:36.98 and Murray had a tim eof 9:19.13 in the Steeplechase. The 4x400m Relay garnered first with a time of 3:31.02 as well.

Second place showings by Tom DiNatale (200m), Steven Philbrook (400m Hurdles), and Jonathan Sclafani (3,000m) also guided SJU to second in the team standings. 

The Hawks will travel to Williamsburg, Va. to take part in the Colonial Relays on Friday and Saturday at William & Mary.
