PRINCETON, N.J. -- Two Hawk harriers represented the men's track team on Friday at the IC4A Championships, one of which qualified for the NCAA Regional Meet. Will Rowland had his best race in the 5K, qualifying for the NCAA meet two weeks from now.
Rowland finished ninth in the 5K with a career-best time of 14:10.62. The graduate student was one of 10 athletes in the event to qualify for NCAA Regionals. The NCAA Regional Meet will be hosted by North Carolina A&T in Greensboro, N.C. May 29-30.
Senior distanceman Kyle Murray took part in the 3K Steeplechase on Friday as well. Murray ran to 24th place in a time of 9:20.66. Murray has already qualified for the NCAA Regional meet in the Steeplechase.
Day two of the IC4As will continue for the Hawks who have the 4x800m, 4x400m, as well as sprinter Bobby Staten entered in events on Saturday at Princeton.
