The Saint Joseph's men's track team finished tied for 27th out of 30 teams competing in the Colonial Relays on Friday and Saturday. The Hawks also competed in the Penn Invite at Franklin Field on Saturday.
In the Colonial Relays Jonathan Sclafani was the lone individual scorer for the Hawks as he finished seventh in the 1,000 meter run in a time of 30:44.36. James Jennings placed ninth in the event in 30:55.42.
Kyle Gorczynski, Brian Guterl, Logan Hohs, and Stephen Young rounded out the Hawks scoring with an eighth place finish in the 4x1500 meter relay with a time of 16:35.68.
In the 800 meter Andrew Townsend (1:54.20) and Dylan Wenik (1:56.84) each won their heat, while Jared Sabre finished second in his heat and 12th overall (48.87 seconds) in the 400 meter dash.
The Hawks also finished third in their section of the 4x100 (43.29), 4x200 (1:31.07), and 4x400 (3:18.55) meter relays.
At the Penn Invite Vinh Nghi To took 11th (39'8 1/2") in the triple jump and 15th (19'7 1/2") in the long jump.
In relays the Hawks took fourth in the 4x800 in 8:17.13 and 11th in the 4x400 with a time of 3:34.81.
In 400 meter hurdles Brian Smith placed 16th in 57.88 seconds and in the 800 meter dash Dave Manion was the top Hawk finisher in 18th (1:58.35).
The Hawks compete again on Saturday when they travel to George Mason.
