PHILADELPHIA - Saint Joseph's has announced its 2010-11 women's basketball schedule, which includes 15 games against teams that advanced to postseason play last year. The schedule is highlighted by three Big 5 contests at Hagan Arena and the regular-season finale at George Washington (Feb. 27) televised on CBS College Sports.

2010-11 Schedule

In all, the Hawks will face six NCAA Tournament teams (Lehigh, Tulane, Princeton, Dayton, Temple and Xavier) and seven WNIT teams (Providence, Drexel, Delaware, Maryland, Charlotte, Duquesne, Richmond and St. Bonaventure) this season.

Saint Joseph's opens the season at home against Providence on November 12. The game is the first of a doubleheader, with the SJU men hosting Western Kentucky in the second contest.

The Hawks take to the road for their next seven games beginning with a November 16 matchup at Sacred Heart. Saint Joseph's will then travel to UMBC (Nov. 20), Drexel (Nov. 23) and Lehigh (Dec. 1) before departing for Big Easy Classic in New Orleans. Tournament host Tulane will be SJU's opening-game opponent on December 3, with Detroit-Mercy waiting the following day in the round-robin tournament.

Saint Joseph's returns to Philadelphia to open Big 5 play at Penn on December 7 before hosting Villanova on December 12. The Hawks host reigning-Ivy League champion Princeton (Dec. 19) and travel to Delaware (Dec. 22) before taking a short break for the Christmas holiday.

For the 20th year, Saint Joseph's will host its annual Hawk Classic on December 28 and 29. The Hawks will open against New Hampshire in the semifinals, while Lafayette and Quinnipiac round out the tournament field.

A matchup with ACC power Maryland on January 2 at home rounds out the Hawks' non-conference schedule, with Saint Joseph's opening its A-10 road slate six days later at Saint Louis on January 8.

Other league home games are against Massachusetts (Jan. 22), St. Bonaventure (Jan. 26) and Richmond (Feb. 12), with Big 5 contests against La Salle (Feb. 19) and Temple (Feb. 23) rounding out games at Hagan Arena.

The remainder of Saint Joseph's road schedule includes contests at Temple (Jan. 19), at Dayton (Jan. 29), at Rhode Island (Feb. 5), at Fordham (Feb. 9), at Duquesne (Feb. 16) and at George Washington (Feb. 27).

The 2011 Atlantic 10 Championship will be held at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Mass., from March 4th to the 7th.
