Junior David Smith led the Saint Joseph's men's track team as it competed in the Princeton Relays at Jadwin Gymnasium on Saturday. Smith took second in the 400 meter and ran the first leg of the 4x400 meter relay squad that also placed second.
Smith ran the 400 meter in a season-best 50.42 seconds while Tom DiNatale also recorded a season-best time (51.09) to take fifth place.
Jared Sabre ran the last leg of the 4x400 meter relay squad and also took third in the 800 meter run with a personal record 1:56.27.
Freshman Tyler Dougherty put in season-best performances in the 300 meter (36.10) and 60 meter (7.27) to take seventh and 12th, respectively.
In jumps Michael Yap recorded a season best mark of 19'8" in the long jump.
The Hawks return to action when they compete in the Penn State Nationals on Friday and Saturday.
