The Philadelphia Big 5 title is on the line Wednesday when Saint Joseph's women's basketball team hosts Temple at 7 p.m. at Hagan Arena. The Hawks and Owls each enter with 3-0 records in the City Series.

Saint Joseph's rides a five-game win-streak into Wednesday's game with Temple. The Hawks have gone from 2-5 and tied for 10th in the Atlantic 10 to 7-5 and currently tied for fourth in the conference over the past three weeks.
The Hawks have the third-longest winning streak in the Atlantic 10 at five games. Wednesday's opponent, Temple, has the longest streak with 14-straight wins with #6 Xavier right behind with 13-straight victories.
The Hawks hold a 40-31 series edge over the Owls, but have lost 10-straight to Temple. The last Saint Joseph's win came at home on January 27, 2006 (W, 65-64), with nine of the previous 11 games between the SJU and Owls being decided by seven points or fewer, with two contests going to overtime.
The Hawks currently sit atop the Big 5's all-time standings with a record 93 wins. Saint Joseph's, which is 93-33 all-time in the City Series, has claimed a Big 5-best 15 titles.
Junior guard Michelle Baker earned her third Big 5 Player of the Week honor this week as she helped the Hawks to a 2-0 record. Averaging 18.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game, Baker scored a game-high 22 points in last Wednesday's win at Duquesne and followed with a team-high 15 points and seven rebounds against La Salle.
Wednesday's game is the final home game of the season for the Hawks. Saint Joseph's has posted an 8-4 mark at Hagan Arena this year and are 3-3 at home in conference games.
