GAME STORIES . . .
• Saint Joseph's is coming off its first postseason win since 2004 with the Hawks' 72-66 win over VCU on Thursday in the WNIT First Round.
• The Hawks, making their eighth WNIT appearance and seventh under head coach Cindy Griffin, improved to 6-7 all-time in the WNIT with Thursday's win.
• Saturday's matchup with Boston College will be just the fifth time the two Jesuit colleges have met. The Eagles hold a 3-1 series edge, but the Hawks won the last meet, 58-54, on December 8, 2006.
• Saturday's matchup is also the final Jesuit Basketball Spotlight contest of the season nationally.
• Additionally, Saturday's contest will feature SJU freshman Erin Shields facing her older sister and BC starting guard, Kerri Shields. The game will mark the first time the sisters have faced each other as opponents at any level.
• Junior Michelle Baker's 378 points this year are the most since Ayahna Cornish's 546 during the 2006-07 season. She tallied a team-high 19 points on 7-of-11 shooting and hit 5-of-5 from the foul line against VCU.
• Saint Joseph's offense is coming off a solid performance versus VCU in which the Hawks shot 51 percent from the field (26-of-51).
• Despite allowing VCU's Courtney Hurt to score 26 points, SJU held the nation's leader in rebounding (12.6 rpg) and double-doubles (25), in check, allowing her just eight boards.
