BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Saint Joseph's junior Rochelle Christman homered for the second straight day and senior pitcher Erin Gallagher allowed just one hit over seven innings as the Hawks downed Robert Morris, 2-0, Saturday morning in the second day of the Hampton Inn Invitational.

The Hawks jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the third as senior Bernadette Moran doubled home classmate Alaina Loguidice with two outs.

Christman would add to the lead in the top of the sixth, connecting on a solo blast to center field off of Geena Badolato to make it a 2-0 game.

Gallagher would make the lead stand as she dominated in the circle. The Hawks' ace allowed a leadoff walk in the top of the second and a single in the fourth, but otherwise cruised to her first win of the year. Gallagher finished the game with five strikeouts to up her total to 15 on the year and move to 1-1 overall.

At the plate, Christman accounted for two of SJU's four hits, with Moran and freshman Lauren Rendon adding a hit apiece.

Saint Joseph's caps play at the Hampton Inn Invitational this afternoon against host Campbell University.
