PHILADELPHIA - Saint Joseph's (10-6; 1-2 A-10) returns to Hagan Arena to host St. Bonaventure (8-9; 1-3) on Wednesday, January 23. Game time is 7 p.m.

Game Notes

• Saint Joseph's has won five of the last seven games. • Langston Galloway was named the Big 5 Player of the Week after averaging 20.5 points .0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists in the Hawks' 1-1 week. Galloway is two three-point field goals away from 200 for his career. • Saint Joseph's junior forward Halil Kanacevic is probable for tonight's game after missing the past three due to a death in the family which caused him to travel overseas. He returned to Philadelphia on Sunday and began practicing on Monday. • Ronald Roberts has notched three straight double-doubles and is the leading rebounder in the Atlantic 10 (8.9 average). Roberts needs two rebounds to notch the 500th of his career. • Saturday's game with Xavier is the annual "Suits and Sneakers" game to raise awareness for Coaches vs. Cancer. Aside from the coaches wearing sneakers, both teams will have teal shoelaces to raise awareness and funds for "Hawks for Margo", an organization which honors the memory of Margo Mallory, the sister of SJU women's soccer player Taylor Mallory, who passed away from cancer earlier this year.

LAST TIME OUT: Langston Galloway scored 20 points and Ronald Roberts had 16 points and 12 rebounds to lead Saint Joseph's to a 79-59 win over Penn in a Big 5 matchup at The Palestra. The junior made 6-of-10 three-pointers and tied his career-high with nine rebounds. Roberts notched his third straight double-double and ninth of the season. Carl Jones added 15 points for the Hawks, who shot 64.3 percent in the second half. A three-pointer by Galloway and a dunk off an offensive rebound by Roberts extended the Hawks' lead to 20 points, 57-37 at 9:20. Back to back threes by Galloway and Aiken increased SJU's margin to 65-44 with six minutes to go. With the teams tied 17-17 early on, Saint Joseph's would take control, scoring 11 consecutive points with six from Galloway, and holding Penn scoreless for six minutes to take a 28-17 lead. A pair of free throws by Jones gave SJU its biggest lead of the half, 32-19 and Penn closed to 32-21 at halftime.

LOOK AT LANGSTON: Langston Galloway was named the Big 5 Player of the Week after averaging 21.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists in the Hawks' 1-1 week while shooting 57.8 percent (11-for-19) from three-point range. He scored a team-high 22 points in Saint Joseph's 92-86 overtime loss at #22 VCU, making 5-of-9 three-pointers while handing out three assists. Galloway scored 20 points as the Hawks defeated Penn, 79-59. He tied his career-high with nine rebounds, and handed out four assists while hitting a season-best 6-of-10 three-point field goals.

GOING SIXTY: The Hawks have shot better than 60 percent in a half in each of the past two games. At VCU, Saint Joseph's connected on 62.1 percent in the second half, while in the win over Penn, the Hawks converted a season-best 64.3 percent in the second half.

BLOCK PARTY: C.J. Aiken has upped his number of blocked shots per game recently, averaging 3.8 per game in the past six contests. Aiken posted a season-high six in the win at Drexel and then bettered that with seven at Duquesne. Overall, he is averaging 3.2 on the season to rank seventh in the nation and lead the A-10.

ON FIRE: Sophomore Chris Wilson led the Hawks to a blazing start versus Butler as he started the game making four straight three-pointers. Langston Galloway chipped in with one to give SJU a 15-9 lead in the first four minutes. Wilson ended the game with a career-high five three's on 5-for-7 shooting. Entering that contest, Wilson was shooting just 7-for-30 from beyond the arc.

AND ONE: Ronald Roberts had three conventional three-point plays against Butler and went 4-for-5 from the foul line. The junior has improved his free-throw shooting and is converting 64.6 percent on the year, up from 55.3 percent last season.

BALANCED ATTACK: The Hawks are sporting a balanced offensive attack again this year. SJU has had four or more players score double figures in seven games, with the team posting a 4-3 record when that happens. The Hawks have four players - Carl Jones, Langston Galloway, C.J. Aiken and Ronald Roberts - averaging double figures and ranking among the top 25 scorers in the A-10.

RON'S REBOUNDS: Ronald Roberts leads the Atlantic 10 with 8.9 rebounds per game and tops the league in offensive rebounds, with an average of 3.7.

EVAN ALMIGHTY: Sophomore Evan Maschmeyer saw his first minutes of the year at VCU, after missing the season thus far due to a fracture in his right hand. Maschmeyer was cleared to play on Jan. 5 after suffering the injury in practice during the week of Nov. 5. He saw a key 10 minutes vs. Penn, posting two rebounds and two assists.

DQ FROM A DISTANCE: Daryus Quarles has earned more minutes as of late with his play in practice and is shooting 76.9 percent (10-for-13) from the field in the past three games. The junior leads the A-10 in three-point percentage for conference games going a perfect 4-for-4 in three contests.

START IT UP: Carl Jones has now started 12 consecutive games after missing the first two and coming off the bench in two. As a starter, Jones is averaging 14.8 points per game. Backcourt mate Langston Galloway is averaging a team-high 16.8 points when Jones starts.

LOOKING AHEAD: Saint Joseph's closes out its three-game stretch in Philadelphia on Saturday against Xavier for a 6 p.m. contest that will be televised on the CBS Sports Network. The Hawks go back on the road to visit Fordham on Jan. 30 before returning to Hagan Arena to meet A-10 and Big 5 rival Temple on Feb. 2.
