Beginning her first season on Hawk Hill, Alexis Berg brings several years of experience to Saint Joseph's. Berg, who spent the past year working as a law clerk for Thompson, Meier and Derson while completing her degree at Ohio Northern University College of Law, served as assistant coach at Ohio Northern from 2004-05. There, she coached both hitting and infielding, while spending time recruiting and conducting several youth camps. Prior to that, she spent three years, 2001-03, as a head coach for the annual Tiffin University Fall Classic.
On the field, Berg excelled as a player at Tiffin University. A three-year starter at third base, she helped lead Tiffin to consecutive AMC Championships (2002 and 2003) and three straight AMC Regional Finals (2001-03). As a junior, She was named to the Louisville Slugger/NFCA NAIA All-Great Lakes Region Team and All-AMC First Team. Berg twice earned both AMC and NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors, as well as being named a 2003 NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete. She graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Criminal Justice from Tiffin in 2003.
