STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Hawks won the Distance Medley Relay, took third in the 4x400m relay, and turned in strong individual performances as the Saint Joseph's men's track and field squad recorded a solid showing at the Fastrack National Invitational, held at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Friday evening.

Zach Smith defeated Molloy by .20, recording a winning time of 10:25.06, while the 4x400m relay of junior

Michael Welde earned third in a field of 11 (3:21.03).
Smith also ran the mile in a collegiate-best time of 4:19.84 for eighth in a field of 69 while Welde placed 15th (50.26) in a field of 26 in the 400m invitational section of the program.

Javier Linares ran a collegiate-best 800m time (1:55.22) to place fourth in a field of 23 in the 800m invitational section of the program while junior
Vincent Giordano ran a collegiate-best time of 7.19 for 60m, good for 18th in the invitational field of 34.
Sophomore Nick Ferrentino won his heat with a collegiate-best 400m time of 50.80 for 12th in a field of 56; the time is Ferrentino's fastest in the event between both Wagner (freshman season) and Saint Joseph's competition.

Dan Mink placed seventh in the 800m field of 51 (1:58.79, just 1.39 off from his PR), freshman
Colin Kane placed seventh in the 3000m field of 35 (8:48.93), and senior
Colin Gallagher raced to a season-best 5000m time of 15:32.46, good for 13th in the field of 19.
Saint Joseph's returns to action at the Princeton Invitational next Sunday, February 23. Events are set to begin at 10:30 a.m. at Princeton's Jadwin Gymnasium. The meet will serve as one final tune-up before the 2020 Atlantic 10 Indoor Track and Field Championships (Feb. 28-Mar. 1).
