Saint Joseph's women's basketball returns to action Saturday afternoon with a noon tipoff inside McGonigle Hall against Big 5 foe, Temple. The game will stream nationally on ESPN+.
 
ABOUT SAINT JOSEPH'S:
  • The Hawks are riding a two-game win streak into Saturday's contest after their 83-70 win against Penn on Tuesday night.
  • St. Joe's is recording 58.1 points on average and allowing 59.3 ppg, while shooting 38.7% from the floor, 30.6% from three-point range, and 70.4% from the line.
  • Seven Hawks are scoring at least 6.0 points a game this season.
  • Junior Kaliah Henderson is the Hawks leading scorer with 10.8 points per game and leading rebounder with 5.5 rpg. Henderson registered 16 points against Penn and has hit that mark or higher in 50% of her games this season.

  • Graduate student Alayna Gribble ranks third overall in scoring (9.3) and second in rebounding (5.0).
  • Rookie Laila Fair has started the past two games and has been a force for the Hawks. During that span, she is averaging 16.0 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. The Middlesex, N.J. native is shooting 61.9% from the floor in those games.

  • The Owls are 5-3 overall under 14th year head coach Tonya Cardoza and have won their last three games.
  • Temple is scoring 59.6 points per game and allowing 58.5, while shooting 36.6% from the field, 23.6% from long range, and 72.9% from the line.
  • Mia Davis leads the Cherry & White in both scoring (16.3) and rebounding (7.6).
  • Joining Davis in the double-digit scoring averages are Alexa Williamson (11.0) and Jiselle Thomas (10.4).
