EWING, N.J. – Myka Williams lost just three games at No. 6 singles in the USciences women's tennis team's spring opener at The College of New Jersey on Saturday.
The junior is now tied for third on the team with three singles victories this season, after defeating her opponent 6-1, 6-2.
Three of the other singles matches went to a third-set super-tiebreaker, with TCNJ prevailing in all three.
Charlotte Kordonowy, Rosemary Esquivel and Stephanie Mazurek all forced super-tiebreakers with second set triumphs before going on to fall in their respective first, third and fourth flight matches.
In doubles play, Williams paired with Myra Anwar to win a team-high four games at the second flight.
University of the Sciences takes nearly a month off before returning to action at Millersville on March 17.
