PHILADELPHIA – The USciences women's tennis team competed in its final match as a program at Division I Saint Joseph's on Sunday afternoon.
Charlotte Kordonowy nearly won the first set at No. 1 singles, falling in a tiebreaker 7-4.
Rosemary Esquivel joined Kordonowy in winning a team-high seven games in singles play, battling in both sets, 6-3, 6-4, at the fifth flight.
Esquivel won a team-high two games in doubles play too, with Myra Anwar at the second flight, while Stephanie Mazurek and Han Le also captured a game at the third flight.
Mazurek would go on to battle in a 6-4 first set at No. 4 singles, while Kirsten Wijnsema fell 6-3 in the second set at the second flight.
