Softball Falls To Albany 6-0 In Finale At Bash At The Beach

GEORGETOWN, DE - The Saint Joseph's softball team fell to Albany 6-0 Sunday afternoon in the final day of play at the Bash at the Beach.

After a scoreless first, Albany jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the top of the second. The Danes' Erika Enocksen and Leslie Busch both recorded two RBIs.

Following a scoreless second and third, Albany extended its lead to six as Ali Meacham and Meagan Larsen both tallied RBIs.

Saint Joseph's offense never got started on Sunday as Albany's Amanda Morin allowed only one three over seven innings to earn the victory.

As a team, Saint Joseph's recorded three hits, while committing five errors on defense. Sophomore Lauren Hughes allowed all six runs on fur hits, while striking out three in the loss.

Senior Megan Richardson, sophomore Lauren Pachioli and freshman Carly Kinkler each recorded singles off Morin.

With the loss, the Hawks fall to 3-9.

Saint Joseph's returns to action Tuesday when the Hawks host Lafayette at 2:30 p.m.
