The Saint Joseph's men's track team took part in their regular season finale at the Swarthmore Last Chance meet on Monday evening. Jared Sabre paced the Hawks with a sixth place finish in the 400-meter dash.
Sabre ran the dash in 48.88 seconds to finish sixth of 22 runners competing in the event. David Smith took 11th in 50.19 while Steven Philbrook and Garrett Barbalinardo recorded season-best times in 50.63 and 50.19, respectively.
Four Hawks put in season-best times in the 800-meter dash with Andrew Townsend leading the way with a time of 1:53.45. Steve Young finished in 1:54.17 while Logan Hohs came in at 1:56.87 and David Manion in 1:57.81.
Luke Fischer also recorded a season best in the 1,500-meter in 3:52.22 while in the 5,000-meter run four more Hawks recorded season-bests, including Vince Collins (14:55.18), Jon Mazzio (15:01.43), George Wittmann (15:04.43), and Vinnie Nicastro (15:18.84).
Saint Joseph's will travel to Princeton this weekend to participate in the IC4A Championships.
