State College, Pa. - Senior Vince Collins won the 3,000 meter with a personal-best time to lead the Hawks at the Penn State Relays on Saturday. Jared Sabre ran a season-best and IC4A-qualifying time to take third place in 500 meter while also helping the 4x400 meter squad earn a qualifying time. The Hawks also competed at Delaware on Friday.

Collins finished the 3,000 meter in 8:36.27 to beat his previous record of 8:47.93 while sophomore Jon Mazzio also ran a personal record (8:40.12) to finish in third place.

Sabre completed the 500 meter in 1:03.86 and ran the last leg of the 4x400 meter to help the squad of David Smith, Derrick Henry, Garrett Barbalinardo take third with the qualifying mark of 3:19.18.

At Delaware freshman jumper Michael Yap placed second in the long jump with a season-best mark of 19'2 1/2". The 4x400 meter squad of Ian Klinger, Jorry Senestant, Ryan Anderson, and Kyle Lampart also took second with a time of 3:38.91.

The Hawks compete next on Friday when they travel to New York for the NYC Gotham Cup.
