Box Score PHILADELPHIA – The University of the Sciences men's basketball team was defeated by No. 12 Jefferson, 88-61, on Wednesday evening.
A Sean Simon 3-pointer tied the score at 7-7 6:51 into the action, but from there the nationally-ranked Rams would score 11 unanswered en route to leading by double-digits for the final 29:09 of gameplay.
Freshman Thomas Melonja came off the bench to lead USciences with 17 points on 7-of-12 shooting in 22 minutes.
Fellow freshman Connor Murphy was the only other Devil in double-figures with 12 points.
Redshirt-freshman Jordan Davidson scored a new season-best to fall one point shy of making it three Devils in double-figures.
Paddy Casey grabbed a team-high seven rebounds.
USciences outrebounded Jefferson 34-32 and committed a season-low seven turnovers, its fewest in a game since committing seven in the 2016-17 season-opener.
The Devils close out a three-game road-trip at Nyack this Saturday at 3 p.m.
