Men's Track Set for Atlantic 10 Indoor Championships

PHILADELPHIA – Under the direction of 29th-year head coach Mike Glavin, the Saint Joseph's men's track and field team is set to compete at the 2018 Atlantic 10 Track and Field Indoor Championships this weekend. The two-day meet will be held at the University of Rhode Island's Mackal Fieldhouse on Saturday, February 17 and Sunday, February 18 in Kingston, R.I.

The Hawks placed seventh (54 points) at last season's A-10 indoor meet, claiming the gold medal in the 800m, silver medals in the 4x400m relay and Distance Medley Relay, and bronze medals in the mile, 5000m, and 4x800m relay. Saint Joseph's last five performances include a seventh-place finish (2017), a fourth-place finish (2016), and three consecutive third-place finishes (2015, 2014, 2013). The Hawks have never finished lower than eighth.

Of note, now a senior, Steve Thompson will return to defend his indoor title in the open 800m.

Senior David Henderson, sophomore Aaron Lemma, and freshman Sebastian Eaton will kick things off for SJU at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday afternoon as the trio races the 400m.
