PHILADELPHIA – Under the direction of 28th-year head coach Mike Glavin, the Saint Joseph's men's track and field team is set to compete at the 2017 Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track and Field Championships this weekend. The two-day meet will be held at the University of Massachusetts' Track and Field Complex from Saturday, May 6 through Sunday, May 7 in Amherst, Mass.

The Hawks earned 62 points to place sixth at last season's A-10 outdoor meet, claiming the 400m, 400m hurdles, and 4x400m relay titles in the process. Saint Joseph's last five performances include a back-to-back sixth-place finishes (2016, 2015), a fifth-place finish (2014), a sixth-place finish (2013), and a seventh-place finish (2012). SJU's highest program finish at outdoor A-10s is third, in 2001 and 2002.
Senior Torey Doaty returns as the two-time defending champion in the 400m hurdles, while Doaty and junior Kenny Evely will look to defend their 4x400m relay title.
Senior Jimmy Daniels and juniors David Dorsey and Anthony Morelli will kick things off for SJU at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday morning as the duo races the 10,000m.
