Hannah Boyce Paces Women's Track at Colonial Relays

Williamsburg, Va. - Saint Joseph's Hannah Boyce captured third place in the high jump to pace the women's track team as it competed in the Colonial Relays at William and Mary on Friday and Saturday. The Hawks placed 15th of the 27 teams that scored in the meet. Some of the squad also competed in the Penn Invitational at Franklin Field on Saturday.

Boyce's mark of 5-05.75 in the high jump put her in front of five competitors, while Stefani Zabilowicz and Georgia Mason also performed well. Zabilowicz took sixth (14.74) in the 100-meter hurdles with Mason finishing right behind in seventh (14.87).

Zabilowicz and Mason also helped the 4x100-meter squad, along with Emily Coldren and Kayla Charles, grab seventh place with a time of 49.39. Another bright spot for SJU came in the Distance Medley Relay as Sara Walker, Katie Pratt, Kelsey Rose and Emma Slattery combined for a fourth place finish at 12:02.80.

To close out the relay teams, Hannah Fuller, Anna Casey, Elizabeth Barrett and Erin James turned in a time of 19:17.98 to finish in sixth in the 4x1000-meter. Emily Chappell scored for Saint Joseph's in the 10,000-meter with a seventh place finish at 38:35.63.

At Penn, Mia Greer highlighted the Hawks performance, taking seventh place in the 400-meter hurdles with a 1:10.59 mark. Also in the hurdles, Francesca D'Angelo finished ninth in the 100-meter with a time of 15.97.

Saint Joseph's returns to action on Saturday, when it competes at the Delaware Invitational. The first event is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. The team will also be sending members to Lewisburg, Pa., to compete in a two-day competition at Bucknell, which starts on Saturday.
