Men's Track Set for Atlantic 10 Indoor Championships

PHILADELPHIA – Under the direction of 30th-year head coach Mike Glavin, the Saint Joseph's men's track and field team is set to compete at the 2019 Atlantic 10 Track and Field Indoor Championships this weekend. The two-day meet will be held at George Mason University's Field House in Fairfax, Va. on Saturday, February 23 and Sunday, February 24.

The Hawks placed sixth (55 points) at last season's A-10 indoor meet, claiming the silver medal in the 4x800m relay; third and fourth legs Dylan Eddinger and Rory Houston return. Saint Joseph's last five performances before that include a seventh-place finish (2017), a fourth-place finish (2016), and three consecutive third-place finishes (2015, 2014, 2013). The Hawks have never finished lower than eighth.

Junior captain Justin Moscoe and rookies Kris Edobi, Kyle Magee, and Michael Welde will kick things off for SJU at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday afternoon as the quartet races the 400m.

Note: Michon leads the conference after running a 4:08.46 at the Penn State National Invitational in late January; UMass' Zach Frahlich sits second with a mile time of 4:11.53, posted in late January. Michon has scored in the A-10's mile in both of his attempts, placing eighth as a freshman (2017) and fifth as a sophomore (2018).

*** Michon will compete in the same double as last year's indoor meet, taking on the mile on Sunday at 11:45 a.m. and following that with the 3000m just two hours and 20 minutes later at 2:05 p.m. Michon placed fifth in both last year.

Note: The Hawks earned a fourth-place finish at the 2018 A-10 Indoor Championships (Robinson ran the second leg) and a second place finish at the 2017 A-10 Indoor Championships (Moscoe ran the leadoff leg).

Note: Eddinger has been a factor on all three of SJU's scoring 4x8s over the last three years, running the third leg (plus Houston on the anchor) for silver at the 2018 A-10 Indoor Championships, running the anchor leg (plus McCoy on the second leg) for bronze at the 2017 A-10 Indoor Championships, and running the second leg for fourth at the 2016 A-10 Indoor Championships.

Note: Walker (leadoff leg) and Houston (third leg) ran on the fourth-place DMR at the 2018 A-10 Indoor Championships while Trae' Robinson ran the second leg of the second-place DMR at the 2017 A-10 Indoor Championships and Barren McCoy ran the third leg of the sixth-place DMR at the 2016 A-10 Indoor Championships.
